Earlier than expected the European Parliament and the European Commission have adopted the Regulation abolishing the requirement to submit a non-preferential certificate of origin when importing certain textile and clothing products from certain third countries.
The respective regulation (EU) no. 955/2011 is published in the Official Journal of the European Union L 259 of 4 October 2011. The regulation will come into effect on 24 October 2011. Relevant is the date of releasing the goods for free circulation. This is a great success for the work of FTA.
